The goal of our research is to identify critical biologic pathways that impact clinical outcomes in children with congenital cardiac defects. We have developed a biorepository that supports clinical trials conducted in children with heart conditions to help understand the underlying biologic differences that affect their response to treatment. The field of research is known as precision medicine and seeks to identify individual differences between patients that can be used to assess and modify treatments to achieve the best outcome for each patient. {Previously Certified Gold: March 24, 2016}
