Central Biorepository

Date Certified: January 9, 2020
Description
The Central Biorepository facilitates discovery and improves healthcare outcomes by providing high-quality, highly annotated biospecimens donated for basic, clinical and translational research to the University of Michigan community. The repository is populated through partnerships with investigators, departments, centers, and institutes that are looking to create a resource for their own use, as well as sharing biomaterials and developing collaborative opportunities. The Central Biorepository enables access to an array of sample types from participants enrolled in a variety of research studies. “Routine cleaning and maintenance of the Ultra-Low Temperature Freezers at the Central Biorepository is a great way to ensure our equipment is providing ideal storage conditions while optimizing energy usage.” -Gail Osawa
