Corporate Compliance for Michigan Medicine earned silver certification by tackling a few simple tasks. They expanded their existing recycling area to include the collection of more types of materials, shared information on sustainable practices and prioritized sustainable options when making supply orders. They also took on a larger task with larger energy savings: shutting down equipment on nights and weekends to avoid “vampire energy” which continues to draw energy from the outlet even when equipment is off.
