Description
Our group studies electrochemical charge transfer processes relevant to the fields of electronics, synthesis, and energy conversion/storage technologies. Our research encompasses several fields, including analytical, physical, and materials chemistry, as well as surface science and applied physics. We are currently active in the following research areas: (1) synthesis of nanomaterials for energy conversion applications; (2) development of new electrochemical methods for chemical and materials syntheses; (3) chemical functionalization and analysis of electrode interfaces; (4) photoelectrochemistry; and (5) in-situ electron microscopy. We also have a strong interest in education and outreach. We are active in various educational activities throughout the greater Ann Arbor community and have developed a new spin on a freshman chemistry lab course that focuses entirely on the chemistry of next generation solar cells. {Originally Certified February 8th, 2012}
