North Campus Children's Center

The North Campus Children\’s Center completed the steps necessary for platinum certification. The team implemented composting in their kitchens and hosts zero waste events. They shut off computers at night, replaced an old refrigerator with an Energy Star model, and consider sustainability when purchasing new equipment, copy paper and other supplies. The staff are introducing the kids to Kill-a-Watt numbers, there are rain barrels on the playground, and they do a lot of gardening in the summer. Over 50% of the staff are certified Planet Blue Ambassadors.
